These flexible and lightweight padded trousers are manufactured by an established armour-shop according to your unique measurements and requires no ‘breaking in’, like current off-the-peg equivalents available in the UK.
The padded legs are machine quilted as a part of the construction process, allowing this feature of the garment to become part of the design; seams and lines follow the movement and joints of the body working with you when fighting from the first day you wear it.
Key features:
Custom manufacture - made to measure
Light weight fabric and construction - more breathable and comfortable.
Plenty of room and fabric in the crotch, great for sprinting and leg movement
Padded knees for additional cushioning
Adjustable waist and leg ties
Ravencrest Panzerchausses (panzerhose) are based upon historically sourced under-armour padding that are essentially two sheets of linen quilted together with vertical stitching, with a layer of cushioning such as wool or horsehair stuffed in between. They were used, it is thought, as an independent layer of protection for the legs, as well as an additional layer to wear under padded armour.
This item is customised according to your body measurements. If you place an order for this product can you please fill out the measurements form found at this here. The results are sent directly to us. If you have any questions that the form does not answer, please email alex@ravencrest.co.uk
This item is made to order outside the UK. Although we make every attempt to reducing manufacturing and shipping times a wait of up to 15 weeks can happen. This is a worse case scenario though and very rarely happens.
I placed my order for my armour with Ravencrest in time for the Battle of the Nations World Championship. The armour itself fitted like a glove and not once did it give me any problems or played on my mind before competing. My measurements were to the letter, which I was worried about. I've worn armour in the past that didn't quite fit and changes the way you move.. Overall, well happy with the build quality. It was not damaged during the tournament and took twenty minutes for my squire to fit to my body. Excellent service!
