Wisby Mitten Gauntlets - Battle of the Nations, HMB Bohurt

Brigandine mitten gauntlets based upon the grave finds from the attack on Wisby City, Gotland in 1361. Many pieces of armour remained in the graves with the dead. The sections of  one left-hand gauntlet were found from which the pattern for this set of mitten gauntlets has been constructed.

These mitten gauntlets are crafted from tempered spring steel, 0.8mm thick. They are finished with robust black leather and steel studs along the edges of the hand to secure the stitched seams further. The pair of gloves weight approximately 1kg, and cover to the wrist.

These items are custom made and therefore cannot be returned under the Consumer Contracts Regulations. Production times can be up to 14-16 week however we strive to minimise this as much as possible.

I placed my order for my armour with Ravencrest in time for the Battle of the Nations World Championship. The armour itself fitted like a glove and not once did it give me any problems or played on my mind before competing. My measurements were to the letter, which I was worried about. I've worn armour in the past that didn't quite fit and changes the way you move.. Overall, well happy with the build quality. It was not damaged during the tournament and took twenty minutes for my squire to fit to my body. Excellent service!
