Side fastening coat-of-plates armour for full contact HMB fighting

This side fastening brigandine is constructed from heavy weight wool with tempered (hardened) spring steel plates riveted to the interior through the felt and an interior layer of linen drill. The metal plates sit underneath both layers of fabric, next to the padded armour worn underneath. This brigandine is lifted over the head and is fastened by four sturdy leather straps and buckles that are also fastened to the body of the coat-of-plates.

Based upon the Wisby brigandine armour - dated from the late second half of the 14th Century.

This item is made to order outside the UK. Although we make every attempt to reducing manufacturing and shipping times a wait of up to 15 weeks can happen. This is a worse case scenario though and very rarely happens.

I placed my order for my armour with Ravencrest in time for the Battle of the Nations World Championship. The armour itself fitted like a glove and not once did it give me any problems or played on my mind before competing. My measurements were to the letter, which I was worried about. I've worn armour in the past that didn't quite fit and changes the way you move.. Overall, well happy with the build quality. It was not damaged during the tournament and took twenty minutes for my squire to fit to my body. Excellent service!
