Houndskull Bascinet Pig-faced Helmet - 14thC and 15thC Reenactment <p>The Houndskull Bascinet is a typical helmet style from the late 14th Century (1370-1399) into the early 15th Century (1400-1420). The pointed visor was developed to deflect blows away from the face and improve ventilation to the face of the fighter. For authenticity the Ravencrest helemt includes attachment points for an aventail; maille usually worn with this helmet style.</p> <p>The helmet is made in 14 GA steel and is lined for use, offering complete head protection.<br /><br /><span>Weight: 7-1/2 lbs / 3.4kg</span></p>
